Our youth spent an afternoon learning how to prepare and cook Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas and Vegetables with chef Fitzroy Reid from Fitz’s Classic Grill. We then spent time discussing their experience while eating the delicious meal together.

Culture Day is a community event that focuses on showcasing Caribbean Culture. One of our talented RMCA youth participates in the spoken word presentation at Culture Day. We also collaborate with Flo’s Seniors and hold an information table, as well as raise donations for the Bahama Hurricane Victims.

This is our first collaboration as a youth organization. We collaborate with Kites for Cancer, a charitable organization that raises funds for Cancer Research. RMCA brings youth activities to add to this wonderful annual summer family picnic at Petrie Island, Orleans. We have a wonderful time networking with the Ottawa community.
